About Nancy

A few weeks before going to heaven, Nancy told her family she knew that when Jesus came to her and said “Nancy, it is time,” that they would be okay and it would be time for her to go home.

On February 15, 2017 Jesus took Nancy Kirk Reed home to live with the Father. Nancy lived her life as a Christian, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Daughter, and a woman whose spiritual gift was love.

To know Nancy and her two daughters Melanie and Emily was to know one of the greatest love stories ever told. From the time her children were born, Nancy sacrificed everything to give her girls the comfort of a loving home that she never knew. Knowing Nancy was to know an angel living on this Earth.

But Nancy did not reserve her love only for her daughters; she could not be contained that easily.

Despite being given only six months to live, Nancy fought for almost three years so that she could meet her Grandson. Though Nancy only knew Logan for nine months, she showered her Grandson with more love and affection than most people will feel in their entire lives.

We miss Nancy terribly, but we are not alone in our grief. The loss of Nancy is felt by people from Virginia to California, and even overseas. We are sad that Logan will not grow up hearing her voice and knowing her love, and the world is a little dimmer now that her light has departed, but we feel comforted by the fact that Nancy is with her Savior, and we all look forward to the day we will all be reunited.

If you would like to join our family in honoring Nancy’s legacy, please donate to Nancy’s Hope and Joy, a charity dedicated to helping women who have experienced trauma to find the inner strength and peace that Nancy exemplified every day of her life.
